The purchase of Camms, a risk and compliance software developer, values the company at more than $100 million and has delivered a big payday for its owners.
Already a subscriber?Camms, a family-owned software business backed by Ellerston Capital, has been acquired by Riskonnect, an American risk and compliance technology company owned by private equity firm TA Associates.
Mr Collins, who was previously chief executive of a South Australian local council, grew the business without taking any external funding for the first 23 years. David Leslie, the investment director of JAADE, said Camms had never seriously considered an ASX listing despite achieving scale and consistent profitability due to market conditions and strong interest from private equity-owned buyers.
“By pooling our competencies and fostering collaboration among our teams, we are poised to deliver a comprehensive product portfolio,” he said.
