A demonstration against the PKK/YPG terrorist group took place in Damascus after Friday prayers. Protesters, gathered in front of the Umayyad Mosque, demanded the group's withdrawal from Syria and condemned their alleged human rights violations.

A group of Syrians staged a protest against the PKK/YPG terrorist group following Friday prayers at the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus . Protesters voiced their demands, chanting slogans like 'We are the children of this country, we want the PKK to leave our country,' 'Let the murderous SDF fall,' and 'Those under the SDF cannot represent us.

' Hamid Ali, a participant in the demonstration, stated that the terrorist organization had been perpetuating violations in the regions they controlled for eight years. He alleged that they had massacred children, hindered transportation, and caused widespread electricity outages. 'Where is the oil going? Oil is the wealth of this country. We want them to distribute this wealth to the people,' Ali demanded. He further claimed that residents in PKK/YPG-occupied areas were restricted from leaving their homes after 8 pm, as those venturing out were apprehended and forcibly recruited. Ali emphasized their desire for the PKK/YPG's departure from Syria, asserting, 'We want peace. Not the disintegration of the country.' Another protester, Ali Shabani, a resident of Aleppo, recounted the numerous crimes committed against them by the YPG/PKK terrorist group, deeming them 'unspeakable.' He lamented their continued presence east of the Euphrates despite the liberation of other areas. Calling for the liberation of their region from the terrorist occupation, Shabani voiced his people's suffering. Abdulkerim al Hashimi, a participant in the protest, labeled the PKK a terrorist organization responsible for massacring Muslims in Türkiye for five decades. He argued that the PKK/YPG and Daesh groups share a similar agenda and approach, serving as agents of global destruction. Hashimi asserted that both organizations sought to disrupt the peace and claimed they arrived from Mount Qandil. He emphasized the unity of Syrians and Turks, stating, 'Syria will not be divided, Türkiye will not be divided, Syrian and Turkish people are one, they are Muslims and brothers. We will fight against this deviant organization for our children, our money and everything we have.
