Syria's government forces have taken control of a prison housing Islamic State group members in the country's north. The move follows a deal that saw hundreds of Kurdish fighters evacuate the area. Syria’s Interior Ministry announced Friday that the government now manages al-Aqtan prison north of Raqqa.
