Seven people remained in a serious condition after being treated by NSW Ambulance crews.
At least 26 people have been taken to hospital, seven of them in serious condition, after running the Sydney Marathon in heatwave conditions on Sunday.
“Twenty six patients were transported to hospital via ambulance, with seven people in a serious condition. Private medical responders also provided support during the event.” Temperatures were already 15 degrees when the marathon started at 7am and rapidly rose to 24 degrees by 9am.
