A Sydney drug syndicate has been busted after police intercepted a kilogram of cocaine dropped off at a playground. The operation involved numerous players, including alleged distributors, runners, and money launderers.
Inside a brown paper shopping bag, the package sat innocuously next to the flying fox and the slide at a playground in Sydney ’s outer suburban ring.
Police say they were also watching as an associate collected the shopping bag and then got back into his silver Toyota Hilux. They then tracked the man for four kilometres to Smithfield, where officers pulled him over, allegedly finding the package sitting in plain view on the ute’s back seat.”, a group of Sydney men allegedly controlling the supply and price of the city’s cocaine and using parks, reserves, streets and commercial car parks across the city.
