Organizers announce 149 new and established performers for the 2024 edition.
British indie band Dry Cleaning, New York punk rockers Bodega, and Swedish alternative act Waterbaby lead the first round of showcasing artists tapped for theOther performers confirmed for the six-night showcase program include cumgirl8 , Desire , Faux Real , Georgia Gets By , Giovannie & The Hired Guns , greek , Hermanos Gutierrez , Hinds , Lo Moon , Omar S , Rawayana , Reality Club , Red Axes , and Viji .
The performance spots are curated by SXSW programmers in collaboration with record labels, booking agencies, export offices, management and PR firms, publishers, media outlets, lifestyle brands and festivals., marking the event’s first foray outside of the United States. Set to roll out from Oct. 15-22, 2023, SXSW Sydney is a collaboration with TEG, The NSW Government and Destination NSW, and will be the brand’s official Asia Pacific leg.
