SwitchBot has launched a comprehensive smart home security system featuring a new video doorbell with a 4.3-inch in-home monitor. The system also includes an upgraded SwitchBot Lock Ultra with a rechargeable battery and enhanced security features.
SwitchBot has unveiled a new video doorbell system that includes a 4.3-inch monitor for in-home viewing. This monitor acts as a central hub for SwitchBot products, enabling users to see who's at the door, communicate with visitors, and manage their door lock. The monitor can be plugged into a power outlet for wall mounting or table placement, and features a 100dB chime.
It seamlessly connects to SwitchBot's new 2K resolution video doorbell, which boasts color night vision, a 165-degree wide-angle view, AI motion detection, and integration with Amazon Alexa. The doorbell is available in both wired and battery-powered (USB-C or solar panel charging) options. \SwitchBot has also announced an upgrade to its SwitchBot Lock Pro, introducing the SwitchBot Lock Ultra. This new lock is compatible with Matter hub and fits over existing locks, including deadbolt, mortise, and jimmy-proof types. Unlike its predecessor, the Lock Ultra comes equipped with a rechargeable battery, offering up to nine months of use (or up to 12 months with an optional larger battery) and an emergency battery for cold weather situations. Unlocking the Lock Ultra is possible through 16 different methods, including fingerprints, NFC, voice commands (Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri), or the SwitchBot app. It stores up to 100 fingerprints with 0.3-second recognition speed. The Lock Ultra also supports auto-locking functionality. The new video doorbell, monitor, and Lock Ultra are expected to launch by the end of the first quarter of 2025. Pricing details are yet to be announced
