Australia is now the number one swimming nation in the world after a dominant performance at the recent world championships in Fukuoka.

Australia's para-swimmers also had an outstanding world championships in Manchester, coming sixth on the medal table, in the team's best performance for a decade.Former chief executive Eugenie Buckley resigned in April after a power battle with the powerful state member organisations. Steve Newman is the acting chief executive.
