Restaurants in Los Angeles are now offering the tasty side to eager customers, many of whom have learned of the new item thanks to the social media buzz.Sweetgreen recently began serving air-fried ripple fries cooked in avocado oil with a side of pickle ketchup and garlic aioli sauce.The California-based food chain is expected to add the fries to its 235 menus across the US next year.

The avocado oil fries come as a growing number of Americans are avoiding seed oils to improve their health and save the planet. “We see a big opportunity — call it outside the bowl — around things like sides, beverages, and desserts,” Neman said,As such, Sweetgreen has also announced plans to begin offering wraps and desserts and open about 40 new restaurants in the new year.
