The likes of Denmark and Finland have done much more to save lives and minimise economic damage than Sweden has managed without a lockdown
As bodies started piling up a few months back – and with now almost 800,000 dead globally - it is hard to dispute that the coronavirus threat is real. This is necessary to acknowledge even for those of us who normally think that political overreaction tends to be the rule rather than the exception. as well as for those of us who are permanently on guard against bureaucratic mission creep.
