A Texas tourist hot spot and beloved bakery had a rough start to the week after a car crashed through the front of the store.
Multiple outlets reported that a car went careening into the front of the Czech Stop in West, Texas, which is north of Waco along the I-35 corridor.Police said the driver “made a mistake,” putting their SUV in drive when they intended to put the vehicle in reverse.told KSAT they were notified of the incident around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
They shared photos of the crash on Facebook and posted an update several hours later saying the windows at Czech Stop were boarded up but that the bakery was still open for business. “Don’t let last night’s accident keep you from stopping in West for your sweet treat,” WVFD officials said.
