An SUV crashed into Boba Bird, a Houston boba shop, just before opening time on Tuesday morning, causing significant damage to the storefront. Thankfully, no employees were injured in the incident.
As businesses prepared to open their doors Tuesday morning, Boba Bird was ready to welcome a steady flow of eager customers. Instead, something much larger came crashing in—literally. At 9:54 a.m., just a minute before they unlock their door to open for business, a terrifying moment unfolded when an SUV crashed into the shop. Bird wasn’t just a business for Peter—it was the realization of a dream he had nurtured since his teenage years.
After years of hard work and saving, he proudly opened the shop just over a year ago.at its heart. “I built this little spot next to Dobie High School…so the kids can come by to hang out,” he said. “I’m just hoping insurance takes care of everything or enough where I can rebuild,” he added. Despite the challenges, Peter remains optimistic about the future. “Have to hold head high in times like this. I can’t spend time moping, especially… I have all my employees looking up to me.”“Starting off the new year with a bang! In all seriousness…we are so glad that no employees were injured this morning and so thankful for the outpouring love and support we’ve received from the Constables Office responded to the scene, and the SUV was towed away shortly after. The owner stated that the couple was driven home by relatives. Many have expressed their relief that no one was seriously hurt and their eagerness for the shop to reopen
