The woman whose residence was burglarized was not home at the time and had her property returned, police said.
ANTIOCH — Two men are suspected of burglarizing a home, trying to outrace police, running across a state highway and carjacking motorists Wednesday in their unsuccessful bid to get away, police said.
Officers arrested a 42-year-old El Cerrito resident and a 31-year-old Sacramento resident after responding to reports about 3:10 p.m. from a person who said a burglary was in progress at a home on Durness Court. The two were arrested on suspicion of felony burglary, conspiracy and reckless evasion of a police officer, according to a statement from Antioch police.
