Suspected abused 4-year-old found abandoned by roadside in Cheras

AN injured boy was found sitting alone at a road junction near the Cheras Utama apartments in Batu 9, Cheras in Kuala Lumpur. Kajang District police chief Mohd Zaid Hassan said the child, who was about four years old and could not speak the local languages, was found by a man at 11.30pm on Friday.“We found several injuries on the boy’s body, hands and forehead. We suspect he is not local because there isn’t a vaccine jab on his arm,” he said, adding the boy was sent for treatment at Kajang Hospital.The case has been filed under section 31 of the Child Act 2001.
