Investigators believe the 22-year-old began the crime rampage with a carjacking on Sunday night and ended with an attempted armed robbery early Monday morning.

Austin allegedly carjacked a man at gunpoint on Germantown and W Hunting Park Avenues in Philadelphia around 8 p.m. on Sunday. According to authorities, Austin was the person responsible for the home invasion of the individuals who are "recent retirees in their late 60s and 70s."
