A woman was shot in Naperville over the weekend and the suspect remains at large as of Monday afternoon, police said. It was the second city shooting since April.
At around 2:46 p.m. Sunday, Naperville police officers responded to the scene of a shooting in the area of Iroquois Avenue and Kennebec Lane, close to the complex with Costco and Panera Bread.A woman was shot in Naperville over the weekend and the suspect remains at large as of Monday afternoon, police said.
The victim, who did not live at the residence where she was shot, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Krakow confirmed she was alive Monday but could not speak to the nature of her injuries.Police believe the suspect fled in a car, but Krakow would not say if they had a description of the vehicle.
When asked if the suspect was male or female, he said, “Right now, we’re going to withhold that information.”
