Officials are searching for a suspect who shot a male at an Auburn apartment complex Thursday afternoon.
The King County Sheriff's Office said it received a 911 call at 1 p.m. about shots being heard at the 31600 block of Military Road South, the site of the Watermark apartments. The caller reported seeing someone lying on the ground, according to the KCSO.
Deputies said they found an "unknown named and aged male victim" with a gunshot injury upon arrival. South King Fire and Rescue was called to treat the victim, who was eventually taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with a "life-threatening injury," according to the KCSO. There is no known suspect in the shooting, deputies said, and detectives are taking over the investigation."We are saddened to report that another community member had been the victim of gun violence," the KCSO wrote to KOMO News via email. "KCSO recognizes the trauma gun violence causes our communities, victims of gun violence and their friends and families."
