Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi is accused of shooting the Jewish man on Oct. 26 while he was on his way to a synagogue to celebrate Shabbat.
A man suspected of shooting a Jewish man in Chicago last month looked at the locations of several synagogues and Jewish schools before the attack, the Chicago Sun-Times Prosecutors reportedly said at a court hearing for Abdallahi last week that he planned a route to a synagogue one block from the northern Chicago neighborhood where the Jewish man was shot from behind.
Abdallahi’s phone had the locations of two synagogues saved days before the shooting, the prosecutor reportedly noted. His search history also showed he looked up “Jewish Community center” and a gun store two weeks before the shooting, according to the report.
