The Columbus police officer wounded in the shooting reportedly is in stable condition.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A suspect in a shooting Sunday at an Amazon distribution center in Madison County was killed in a confrontation with police in Columbus that left one officer wounded, reports say.the wounded officer was taken to Grant Medical Center and was in stable condition. The identities of the officer and the suspect have not been reported, but the West Jefferson Police Department confirmed the suspect was an Amazon employee.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called at 4:42 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports of multiple shots being fired inside the Amazon CMHF fulfillment center in West Jefferson. There were no reported in juries in the shooting, but the suspect was gone before police and deputies arrived.that the shooting in Columbus occurred on the city’s west side just after 6 p.m.
