Denzel Pope, 19, has been charged with aggravated murder in connection with the death of Paige Calich.
Denzel Pope, 19, was arrested Wednesday night in Chicago, Illinois, police say. He was wanted on a charge of aggravated murder in the death of Paige Calich. Corvette Pope, 25, was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated murder.
Police said the arrest of arrests of the two suspects came after detectives obtained evidence and tips from community members. Police did not indicate the relationship of the Popes. Calich, 24, of Akron, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the doorway of a residence on the 1400 block of Socrates Place, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office. She died at Akron General Medical Center.
The shooting occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday. No additional details were released Thursday night.
