A 24-year-old man wanted in connection with a fatal Aurora shooting has been arrested by Atlanta Police for allegedly committing a separate murder in Georgia.

David Kinney was arrested in Atlanta on Thursday for allegedly shooting and killing a man there on Aug. 13, according to a press release from the Atlanta Police Department. Kinney was also being sought by Aurora police on suspicion of first-degree murder for the Aug. 5 shooting of Kerris Silva, 27, at an area gas station, an Aurora police spokesperson confirmed Wednesday.

Kinney has been charged in Georgia with murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the Atlanta release. He’s charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a man walking a dog at an apartment complex last week. The dog was missing after the incident but has since been recovered, according to police.after getting into an argument with his assailant, who was parked in the vehicle next to Silva.
