A close family member spoke with ABC 6, saying she was the mother of his child and he was a great dad. Just hours before Byrd was fatally shot, he was on the phone with her planning a play date.After the teen's first court appearance, ABC 6 obtained court documents which said the teen had accused Byrd and other family members of being 'snitches' in a prior incident, and in this case, the suspect continued to shoot Byrd after he was on the ground.
A lot of family members on both sides were in the courtroom, though none were ready to speak on camera.
