More than 40 wraps of suspected cocaine and heroin were recovered from a suspect's underwear. Nottinghamshire Police recovered a large quantity of Class A drugs after witnessing a suspected street deal in the Hyson Green area.
Officers were on patrol on Tuesday, June 20, when they saw the suspicious activity on Maples Street. A suspect was searched and more than 40 wraps of suspected crack cocaine and heroin were recovered from his underwear. Abdallah Jama, of Riber Crescent, Basford, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 21 where he pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply, and one count of possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply.
The 20 year old was remanded into custody and will be sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday, July 12. Detective Constable Dionne Love, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Drug dealing and drug related crime is a blight on our communities. "That’s why we conduct these kind of proactive patrols to disrupt the activity of local dealers and reduce the associated risk of violent crime.”
