A shooting at Yellowstone National Park on the Fourth of July left a suspect dead and a park ranger injured, authorities said.

As a result, the suspect died, according to the National Park Service, which said it was not immediately releasing the suspect's name. A park ranger was injured in the incident and they are listed in stable condition at a local hospital.According to the statement, the FBI is leading the investigation with help from National Park Service special agents. The National Park Service said the area around the Canyon Lodge complex is closed as the investigation continues.
