Police have arrested a suspect in connection to Sunday’s SoFi Stadium attack, in which a San Francisco 49ers fan was assaulted, then hospitalized.
Inglewood’s mayor called the incident “a small altercation that went very bad,” saying one punch caused the man to fall and hit his head.
The other man then pushed Luna and struck him in the face, Butts said. Luna fell to the ground and hit his head.A source with the Inglewood Police Department told The Times that Cifuentes-Rossell is claiming self-defense. Butts would not say whether Luna would also face charges for the altercation, noting “that would be up to the District Attorney’s office.”
Luna’s wife, reached at the hospital on Wednesday, said in a brief phone call she was too upset to speak.Police are investigating after Daniel Luna was found severely injured in the parking lot about half an hour into Sunday’s Rams-49ers game.
