A 50-year-old man was found dead and his roommate was taken into custody at a home in Seattle's University District
A report came in to 911 dispatch at around 1:30 a.m. When police arrived at the home on the 5500 block of University Way Northeast, they found the suspect in the street. He then led police to his roommate, who had already died from his injuries. The suspect is a 52-year-old man and the victim is a 50-year-old man. Police have not specified what injuries the victim had or if a weapon was used.
This is the 67th homicide in Seattle so far in 2023. The most homicides ever recorded in the city within one year was 69 in 1994. to stay up-to-date on news stories from across western Washington.
