After months of investigation, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on West 31st Street in January.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the reported shooting and found the victim in the front yard of a residence near the roadway. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
Following the investigative efforts, a warrant was obtained, leading to Bailey’s arrest on March 10, 2023. He is now facing charges of murder in connection with the shooting death of the victim. According to detectives, at approximately 7:15 a.m. Monday, patrol officers responded and located a man in his early 20s laying in the front yard of a home. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
