A suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal stabbing in Denver.
About 11:30 p.m. Tuesday officers responded to 5190 Broadway on a report of a disturbance, the release said. The victim, who police initially described as being shot, was taken to a hospital where he later died.
The victim was stabbed in the neck, according to an arrest affidavit. The suspect fled the scene of the incident before officers arrived. A witness who resides in the multi-story building where the stabbing occurred told investigators that the victim tried to intervene in an argument between two men in a hallway when he was stabbed, according to the affidavit.
Investigators found that the incident began as an argument involving multiple people, the release said, and it escalated into the stabbing. Myers has been arrested for investigation of first-degree murder.
