Shaker Heights police stopped a car occupied bytwo brothers. The older brother, 20, was wanted on a warrant for domestic violence, while his 16-year-old brother was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.
Updated: Feb. 07, 2026, 7:22 a.m.A Shaker Heights woman, 21, was arrested for assaulting and stealing from her 14-year-old sister.At 8:20 p.m. Feb. 3, officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Gridley Road to investigate a call of shots fired.
Officers learned that a 20-year-old Shaker Heights man had been threatened with gun violence by an on-line acquaintance, a 19-year-old Shaker Heights man. The dispute centered on online gaming. Officers located the 19-year-old in close proximity to the location and seized from him a loaded and recently fired 9mm firearm. Police arrested and charged the man with discharging firearms, carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing official business, and aggravated menacing.At 9:05 a.m. Jan. 30, loss prevention personnel at Heinen’s, 16611 Chagrin Blvd., informed police that, on Jan. 12, a 47-year-old Cleveland woman stole $259 worth of food.At 8:15 p.m. Jan. 30, officers arrested a 25-year-old Maple Heights man and his 16-year-old brother, also of Maple Heights, at Shelburne and Warrensville Center roads. The older brother was seen driving his Kia vehicle without working taillights. Following a traffic stop, officers learned that he was wanted by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office for domestic violence. It was also learned that his brother was carrying a concealed and loaded .44 caliber firearm, leading to his arrest for carrying a concealed weapon.At 10:30 p.m. Jan. 30, officers arrested a 41-year-old Cleveland man for operating a vehicle while under the influence after learning he had caused a crash at Chagrin Boulevard and Warrensville Center Road. The man smelled of alcohol and went on to fail field sobriety testing. He declined to provide a breath sample.At 10 p.m. Jan. 31, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3000 block of Van Aken Boulevard where they arrested a 21-year-old Cleveland woman for burglary and domestic violence. The woman assaulted her 14-year-old sister, stole an i-Pad valued at $500, and left in a Chevrolet vehicle. She was later apprehended.At 9:35 p.m. Feb. 1, officers arrested for OVI a 50-year-old University Heights man. The man was seen driving his Nissan vehicle without working headlights or taillights. Police stopped his car in the area of Lee Road and Shaker Boulevard.Police learned that the man had previously been arrested for the same offense.At 9:05 p.m. Feb. 2, a 43-year-old man who lives in the 2000 block of Kemper Road reported that a delivered package containing sunglasses valued at $255 was left unsecured in a common area of his apartment and was stolen by an unknown suspect.At 9:40 a.m. Feb. 3, officers arrested a 24-year-old Cleveland woman who was wanted by Cleveland Heights police for disorderly conduct. The woman’s Volkswagen was stopped after being seen traveling with expired license plates in the area of Parkland Drive and Lee Road.At 8:35 p.m. Feb. 3, a 46-year-old woman who lives in the 3000 block of Aberdeen Road reported that her ex-husband, 45, of Cleveland, had violated a protection order that protected her and her 14-year-old son.OVI: Van Aken Boulevard At 11:30 a.m. Feb. 4, officers arrested for OVI a 66-year-old Cleveland man who was wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for narcotics possession. The man was seen driving his Lexus vehicle without a license plate at Farnsleigh Road and Van Aken Boulevard. He smelled of alcohol and went on to fail field sobriety testing. He submitted a breath-alcohol sample of .103, above the state minimum for drunk driving of .08. He was additionally charged with having a prohibited blood-alcohol content.At 11:30 p.m. Feb. 5, officers arrested a 40-year-old Cleveland man for OVI after seeing him operate his Lincoln vehicle through a red light at Chagrin Boulevard and Warrensville Center Road. The man smelled of alcohol and failed field sobriety testing. He submitted a breath-alcohol sample of .03.
