The Scottish Social Attitudes Survey provides grim reading for SNP Ministers.
An official survey has found collapsing trust in the SNP Government and rising dissatisfaction over the running of the NHS.First Minister John Swinney has promised to listen to voters after the SNP was humiliated by Labour at the general election .
Public services have also been struggling and the Government has pushed through unpopular cuts to housing.It reveals 47 per cent of people trusted the Scottish Government to work in Scotland’s best interests last year.Just over a third of people - 35 per cent - thought the Scottish Government was good at listening to people’s views before taking decisions, down from 51 per cent in 2019.
The survey also found 23 per cent of people said they were satisfied with the way in which the NHS runs, compared to 52 per cent who were not.Similarly, 69 per cent of people thought the standard of the health service had fallen over the previous 12 months, which is an increase from 45 per cent of people in 2019.
