The two-time world champion surfer was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital after the incident at North Narrabeen.
Surfing legend Tom Carroll has been discharged from hospital after suffering a head injury at North Narrabeen Beach this morning.
Carroll joined the world surfing tour in 1979, before becoming the first goofy-footed world champion in 1983. He was crowned the world’s best surfer again in 1984.In 1988, Carroll signed a $1 million contract with surfing brand Quiksilver. The five-year deal was the biggest sponsor deal in surfing history at the time.
