Connor John Christopher Lyons, 26, was initially arrested on Sunday and charged with 12 counts of indecent treatment of children. He was released on bail with conditions, but was arrested again on Wednesday and charged with a further 14 offences, including making child exploitation material, grooming, and damaging evidence.

Detectives investigating the matter arrested Mr Lyons again on Wednesday and charged him with a further 14 offences, including making child exploitation material, grooming, and damaging evidence with intent. The lawyer proposed that Mr Lyons surrender his Australian passport and not be allowed to access social media, in addition to the original bail conditions imposed on Monday.He said Mr Lyons was likely to face a term of imprisonment if convicted, and the matter would probably not be finalised in the District Court for at least 12 months.

"No matter what conditions he was released on … he would not be able to go back and participate in that business," Mr Hill said.ABC Sunshine Coast: Kirra GrimesPolice prosecutor Tegan Smith told the court Mr Lyons admitted to police that he had accessed child pornography online for more than a decade, and that he first indecently dealt with children in 2018.
