The Supreme Court unanimously ruled to safeguard access to mifepristone, a medication used for abortions, contradicting a common argument from the Left.

aimed to “strip away all their rights” or “relegate women back to the kitchen.” There is a perception among some thatseek to confine women instead of supporting them, but this is a fallacy designed to stoke fear and anger at Republicans.

However, the Supreme Court contradicted this narrative with a unanimous ruling that safeguarded access to mifepristone, a common medication used for abortions. Although the ruling was based on procedural grounds due to the lack of standing among the applicants, it serves as a rebuttal to the notion that the court jurisprudence uniformly disrespects liberal values.

In making this decision, the court demonstrated its commitment to upholding the rule of law and adhering to established procedures. Despite individual justices’ known stances on abortion, they set aside personal beliefs to uphold the law. It is essential for the Left to recognize and respect that these justices, regardless of their ideological leanings, serve on the court due to their esteemed legal expertise.

This negative perception of the court is concerning because it was designed to be independent from politics, despite its recent history of being enthralled in political turmoil. Office holders such as Sen. Mike Lee should not have to stand and make speeches, “Leftists are trying to manipulate the Supreme Court and trigger the recusal of justices they don’t like. They’re doing this in an effort to influence the outcome of cases pending before the court.

The founders of this country designed three branches of government, independent from one another, that would check one another. The justices on the court showed Thursday their effort to live up to that as they have begun to create a history of doing so. They are doing a very difficult job, and the Left has a duty to respect that. This fearmongering that the court is going to do irreparable damage to women or destroy a long-standing institution is just that — fearmongering.
