Fresh polling reveals that support for the Voice to Parliament has dropped, with the question in the survey the exact one that will be asked at the referendum.

Conducted exclusively for The Australian, the polling also reveals 43 per cent remain opposed to the Constitutional alteration being proposed. The question was posed to 1,549 voters, however, was the exact one they will be asked at the referendum later this year.

According to The Australian, those more likely to support the Voice are women and young voters, and the city-based university educated. In the House of Representatives last month when the legislation enabling the referendum was being discussed, Mr Dutton said some Australians will be more equal than others if it succeeds.

The poll also comes after Noel Pearson extraordinarily accused Peter Dutton of being “duplicitous” over comments made that the Voice will “re-racialise” the Constitution. Picture: NCA NewsWire / Martin Ollman
