There will also be "safe distance" floor signage, protective screens at checkouts, and additional security.

Morrisons is also introducing signage in stores to support social distancing, including floor stickers, posters and banners which will ask customers to keep one trolley distance apart.Iceland said it's in the process of putting down tape to encourage social distancing at checkouts, and will fit screens to checkouts from next week.

M&S said it's also installing screens as a precaution, while limiting the number of customers in each store at the same time. The Sun has also asked other big supermarkets, including Asda and Tesco, whether they plan to do something similar, but we haven't heard back yet.
