Supermarkets continue to struggle with increased coronavirus demands as shoppers are given 'weird' alternatives in online deliveries
A Tesco spokeswoman said: “We are very sorry for any inconvenience to our customers. It is an extremely busy time for both our stores and our delivery service and availability is challenging across many products. We’re doing our best to make sure people can get the food and items they need.
“To help free up slots for the more vulnerable, such as our elderly customers and those who are self-isolating, we are encouraging customers who shop online to choose Click+Collect for their grocery home shopping and to prioritise shopping in-store where possible.”Supermarkets have been facing huge pressure after Prime Minister Boris Johnson said people with underlying health conditions should self isolate for 12 weeks until coronavirus is curbed.
