James Gunn has revealed Lex Luthor's warsuit for the 'Superman' sequel, 'Man of Tomorrow.'
Director James Gunn has revealed a first look at the villain’s iconic warsuit, worn by star Nicholas Hoult as production on the “Man of Tomorrow” sequel is underway.
In the DC comics, Lex Luthor builds several ultra-powerful, weaponized suits of armor to level the playing field with Superman. They give him superhuman strength, flight, force fields and a range of other powers. Based on the photo, it appears Lex won’t stay in prison for long and potentially travels to a sandy planet in outer space.

Superman is forced to team up with his greatest nemesis to defeat the super-smart cyborg in “Man of Tomorrow,” due in theaters on July 9, 2027.
The returning stars for the sequel include Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern member Guy Gardner and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. Milly Alcock, who had a cameo as Superman’s cousin Kara Zor-El, will be back for “Man of Tomorrow” after she headlines this summer’s DC tentpole “Supergirl.
