It's a sad day now that the Superman & Lois series finale,"It Went By So Fast," has come and gone. The hardest part about this CW series ending is that the show didn't have to end. Considering the producer's initial hopes to run about seven seasons — not to mention how powerful Season 4 was all around — we only wish it would've gone longer.

When Smallville aired in the early 2000s, Superman Returns hit the big screen in 2006, but most understood that Tom Welling and Brandon Routh were playing two different versions of the character.

Introducing not just DC Comics' Jon Kent , but also original character Jordan to the Superman story was a stroke of genius that allows Superman & Lois to thrive as an almost Friday Night Lights-style drama.
