Super Saiyan 4 is one of the strongest transformations in Dragon Ball, mostly because it upgrades pre-existing attacks, including Goku's deadliest.
Super Saiyan 4 is the pinnacle of transformations within Dragon Ball GT , not only because it elevates the Saiyan channeling it to new levels of untold power, but because it exponentially multiplies the energy output of pre-existing techniques used by that Saiyan as well–including Goku, whose Super Saiyan 4 form gave his deadliest attack a god-tier upgrade.
Throughout every era of the Dragon Ball franchise, Goku has shown off some pretty impressive techniques, including and especially his Kamehameha Wave–an attack he learned from the martial arts master who created the Kamehameha, Master Roshi. In fact, seeing the Kamehameha in action was the whole reason Goku wanted to train with Roshi in the first place, which set him down the path he would follow for the rest of his life.

In a previous episode, it was revealed that the Dragon Balls secretly created and stored ‘minus energy’ with every wish that was granted by Shenron.
Ending the battle in the most badass way possible, Goku powers up his fist with the energy of the Golden Dragon and simply punches the Shadow Dragon through the chest, with his fist and forearm jutting out of the villain’s back. Then, Goku summons the Golden Dragon to totally obliterate the Shadow Dragon, all while firmly standing his ground.
