These easy Super Bowl snacks require 3 ingredients or less and can be made in minutes. Perfect for busy game day fans who want delicious treats without the fuss.

Whether you’re a football fanatic or just tuning in for the commercials, there’s one thing we can all agree on: Super Bowl snacks are where it’s at. The annual event would be nothing without the classic bites it’s so famous for, but the reality is that go-to recipes like seven-layer dip and Buffalo wings require a fair amount of planning and time to execute properly.

They’re not exactly the sort of thing you can toss together at the last minute, and, let’s be real, no one wants to be caught cooking at kickoff—or worse, stuck in front of a fryer while the halftime show is bopping. There is a way to have your dip and eat it, too, and you don’t even need a real recipe to get there. We tasked registered dietitians and culinary pros with creating easy apps and football snacks that pay respects to the iconic treats that inspired them, but only require three ingredients to make. What’s more, most of these ideas rely on ready-made or already-prepped ingredients, like tortillas and pre-shredded veggies, so the legwork is really minimal. And those that do require a little more cooking—like an air fryer-spin on nachos made with tater tots—will be ready to go in less time than it takes to say “touchdown!” 1. Date “Footballs” Dates + nut butter + shredded coconut Football snacks usually lean savory, but if you’ve got a sweet tooth, we have you covered. If you’ve got these ingredients on hand, you already have everything you need to make a football snack that’s equal parts tasty and cute. Split open the dates, lather on whichever nut butter you prefer—peanut, sunflower, and almond all work well—and sprinkle on the coconut right before serving. In addition to looking like teeny tiny footballs, they’re also more nutritious than your standard Super Bowl fare. “Dates are high in fiber, and, when paired with nut butter, they are the perfect combo of fiber and protein—making them a combo that’s as good as Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes,” she says. 2. Air-Fryer “Totchos” Frozen tater tots + melted cheese Cara Harbstreet tells SELF that she always keeps frozen tater tots in her freezer for events like this. She tosses them in the air fryer to make them extra crispy, and as soon as they come out, pops them on a tray and quickly layers them with shredded cheese—the still-hot tots will turn into melty, gooey perfection. From there, you’re free to dig in or add toppings at your discretion. It’ll taste great as-is and even better if you have the time to add things like salsa, Greek yogurt, and jalapenos. 3. Buffalo Chickpea Lettuce Cups Buffalo sauce + canned chickpeas + lettuce Game day just wouldn’t be the same without a Buffalo-seasoned appetizer in the mix, but you definitely don’t have to spend ages frying chicken to scratch the itch. Instead, she prefers to keep it simple by popping open a can of chickpeas, dressing them with her favorite Buffalo sauce, and serving them in lettuce cups. It’s got the heat and crunch you know and love from the traditional football snack, minus just about all of the work and plus a bit more fiber than you’d usually get. 4. Veggie Flatbread Flatbread + pesto + pre-cut veggies Geiger notes that it can be hard to find a way to squeeze veggies into a Super Bowl spread. This unique idea makes that goal both achievable and on theme, because the pesto and veggies make the flatbread look like a real-deal football field. Spread the green sauce to get a grassy effect, and line the edges with pre-shredded carrots, bell peppers, or cucumbers, to imitate the look of fans cheering in the bleachers. Slicing it into sixths will make it easy to serve and give the whole thing the impression of having real “yard lines.” 5. Mini Caprese Bites Cherry tomatoes + mozzarella cheese balls + fresh basil This colorful one-bite appetizer is always a hit when I prep them for parties and tailgates, says Harbstreet. Even better? They couldn’t be easier to make. Grab a pack of toothpicks and simply slide on one ingredient after the other. Plus, since they come together so quickly, you might even have time to think about serving them with a premade balsamic glaze for even more flavor—though they taste great either way. 6. Bacon-Wrapped Shishito Poppers Bacon + shishito peppers + flavored cream cheese Classic jalapeno poppers are always a hit with the grown ups at the party, but the younger palates who want to partake might not appreciate the intense heat. This kid-friendly version from Maiko Kyogoku, chef and owner of Bessou in NYC, is far less spicy but equally flavorful and only requires a few minutes of active work
