Philadelphia Eagles assistant coach Autumn Lockwood is set to make history on Feb. 12 when she will become the first black woman to coach in a Super Bowl.
Lockwood serves as the Eagles' certified strength and conditioning specialist and has been with the team since August 2022, according to a report.A member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Lockwood graduated in 2015 from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice.

While Lockwood is set to become the first black woman to coach in the NFL's biggest game, she joins at least three other women who have coached in the Super Bowl.Katie Sowers was the first woman to do so when she helped the San Francisco 49ers reach Super Bowl LIV, and Lori Locust and Maral Javadifar became the first two female coaches to see their team lift the Lombardi Trophy when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV.
