Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant will be re-evaluated in one next week due to a left ankle sprain.
ESPN's Shams Charania shared the news via Twitter/X.Durant suffered the injury after landing on a Spurs player's foot on Tuesday night. He appeared to suffer the injury while driving to the basket in the second quarter. Durant was fouled as he went up for a shot before falling to the court and grabbing his ankle in pain.He did not return to the game. Phoenix escaped with the win over the Spurs, 104-93.The superstar forward missed time earlier in the season due to a calf injury.
They've struggled mightily without Durant, recording a 1-6 record while averaging 109.0 points, 25.0 assists, and shooting 43 percent from the field and 34 percent from three.It's been night and day without Durant in the lineup, but the Suns will have some time off from Dec. 9 to Dec. 12 after failing to advance past the NBA Cup group stage.Phoenix will have four days off, and hopefully, Durant will be back by next Friday when they face the Utah Jazz on the road on Dec. 13.
