Sources close to the player added that the deal was possibly agreed upon before the end of last season but has now been finalised. "They didn't want to wait longer because in January he could have had the chance to sign a pre-contract with any team. "They have agreed on three years because in 2027 he will be 36-years-old and they will take it from there," the source stated.
