Limited theater capacity and increased testing are also a part of the latest protocols laid out for the 2022 in-person festival.

The festival previously outlined plans to provide testing on-site in Park City and Thursday’s announcement offered more details. Free testing will be offered by the festival at three locations — Kearns Bonanza Corner, Miners Hospital, and the Galleria Parking Lot — in Park City, running at these various locations from Jan. 17-30 from 8 am to 11 pm. Both PCR and rapid antigen tests will be offered at these sites, which will be open to everyone in Park City, festivalgoers or not.

While they will be required to be vaccinated and boosted, for the general public testing prior to arrival will not be required. Should a festival attendee test positive while on the ground in Park City at any time, Utah state guidance is such that the person will have to isolate and quarantine for 10 days. Festival insiders have suggested to some in-person attendees that they consider contingencies in terms of lodging and transportation should they test positive during the festival.
