Players will explore a region called the Citadel, gain new wirebug moves and battle new monsters in “Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak”

The downloadable content brings players to the Elgado Outpost, a research based tied to a distant Kingdom. The deeds of the Kamura Village hunter — that’s the player — has reached the knight Dame Fiorayne and she comes seeking the hero’s aid because her nation’s faces the threat of the Three Lords: Garangolm, Lunagaron and Malzeno.

“Sunbreak” features a new hub world and characters. If the Kamura Village chapter was inspired by Japanese culture, then Elgado Outpost and the Kingdom has a distinct Medieval appearance. Galleus, the commander of the Knights of the Royal Order, dons armor inspired by suits from Europe. Other characters such as the scientist Bahari, the blacksmith Minayle and quest giver Chichae have similar Western wear. Only the merchant, Oboro, seems like he would fit in Kamura.

The differing cultures creates a notable juxtaposition, and it will be interesting to see if that plays a role as players explore the Citadel, a new world which includes biomes such as lush forests, icy mountains and castle ruins. The region is full of new endemic life such as morphed wirebugs and marionette spiders.

They’ll likely play a role in helping players explore these maps. Those new tweaks to traversal adds toIf that weren’t enough, players will have a new goal to reach — the Master Rank. That’s likely to take a lot of grinding. The blood orange Bishaten is a more dangerous variant that players will run across in “Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.” In the “Sunbreak” digital event, six new monsters were confirmed for the game. They include the following:This apelike creature has armored skin and the ability to wield fire and water elements in each hand. The fanged wyvern uses ice to coat its body. It appears to be fast opponent in the vein of Tobi-Kadachi.This is a variant that tosses exploding pine cones.
