Rishi Sunak 's press secretary has refused to say whether Lisa Cameron was "a threat to the UK" before she defected to the Tories.
Tory Prime Minister Sunak said during Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday that the SNP is "a threat to the integrity of the United Kingdom". Her defection came as she was facing deselection in her seat and she had repeatedly mentioned her support for independence in a hustings just a couple of weeks earlier.
When asked if Cameron was previously a threat to the UK, the press secretary said: "And she has come to the view that some things matter more than independence.
