The event is aimed at encouraging visitors to consider Bridlington as a festive destination.
Day trippers and holidaymakers enjoyed an unusual day at the seaside on Wednesday - with the celebration of Bridmas.
This midsummer celebration of Christmas was organised by East Riding of Yorkshire Council to help encourage people to visit Bridlington during the festive period. Attractions included a visit from Father Christmas, decorations around the town, Christmas songs and decorations on the resort's land train, and a showing of the festive film Elf at Bridlington Spa.
Troy Harris, who will be starring in this year's panto at the Spa, said: "Brid is for all year round - for summer, for Christmas, there’s so much to do!" Barbara Jefferson, the council’s cabinet member for heritage and coastal, said the aim of the event was to "show that Bridlington isn't just a summer destination" and that it is also a "fantastic place" to come at Christmas.Councillor made new deputy police commissionerCyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in crash
