BRITAIN is pulling out all the stops in a huge effort to fight coronavirus – and today The Sun on Sunday salutes hundreds of heroes who have stepped up to make a real difference.
Having used food banks from charity Provide Devon them-selves several times in the last 12 months, the pair contacted the group to see if they could help. She was nominated by her volunteers, who said: “It’s good to see some good in such difficult times as this.” “Free food deliveries to the elderly, dog walkers, buddies who’d simply call the elderly to chat and check up on them, GPs to answer medical questions, counsellors to offer mental support . . . the list is endless and inspiring.
I want to sing the praises of ADRIAN WHITE, from Enfield, who has funded and made 120 bottles of hand-sanitiser and is handing them out to rough sleepers and the elderly to help protect them from coronavirus. He brought empty bottles, made labels, produced the sanitiser and contacted homeless shelters to tell them he will be donating them. We wish him and his family all the best. Thank you so much.
