'Son of Sam' serial killer was arrested on this day in 1977 – what the infamous murderer and his 'mommy issues' share in common with Gilgo Beach suspect Rex Heuermann.

This note was found by police in the 1970 Ford Galaxy owned by David Berkowitz when they arrested him, late Aug. 10 of 1977, as he sat in the car in front of his Yonkers, New York, home. It is written in the style of the .44 caliber killer. Berkowitz later pleaded guilty to the"Son of Sam" killings.
