Summer Creek outscored Hastings 27-14 in the fourth quarter as the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Bears 57-44 at Butler Fieldhouse. Summer Creek will take on Shadow Creek in a Region III-6A regional quarterfinals with a time and date to be announced.The Lady Bears end the season 23-11 and were making their first area round playoff appearance since the 2017-18 season.The Lady Bears took it right to the Lady Bulldogs through three quarters, looking to knock off No. 9 Summer Creek.
“They were scrappy,” Dixon said. “They had a lot of confidence, and they played that way. Number 23 is a player for sure. I think that we didn’t come out and execute our game plan and they took advantage of their game plan. That was a great team we just played. All of their players were scrappy and gave us hard looks on every possession.”
